Whether the pipe fire extinguisher has been used, starting from the date of the fire extinguisher's factory, when the service life of the fire extinguisher exceeds the specified period, it should be sent to a professional maintenance unit for inspection. If it is a water-based fire extinguisher, it needs to be scrapped after its service life exceeds 6 years. If the dry powder fire extinguisher has a service life of more than 10 years, it needs to be scrapped.

5.4.1 The following types of fire extinguishers should be scrapped:


1 acid-base fire extinguisher;


2 Chemical foam fire extinguisher;


3 inverted fire extinguishers;


4 chlorobromomethane and carbon tetrachloride fire extinguishers;


Other types of fire extinguishers that are explicitly phased out by national policies.


5.4.2 Fire extinguishers with one of the following situations should be scrapped:


1. The cylinder is severely corroded, with a corrosion area greater than or equal to one-third of the total area of the cylinder, and there are pits on the surface;


2. The cylinder has obvious deformation and severe mechanical damage;


3. There are cracks and no pressure relief mechanism on the head;


4. Unreasonable structure such as flat bottom of the cylinder;


Portable without intermittent spraying mechanism;


6. There is no name of the manufacturer and the date of production, including the detachment of the nameplate, or although there is a nameplate, the name of the manufacturer cannot be clearly seen, or the steel seal of the date of production cannot be recognized;


7. The cylinder has repair marks such as soldering, brazing, or patching;


8 has been burned by fire.


When the delivery time of the fire extinguisher reaches or exceeds the scrapping period specified in Table 5.4.3, it should be scrapped.
